In the Netherlands, criticism of is often treated as unacceptable. Criticism of its gov is dismissed as #antisemitism. When people clarify that they are criticizing a state or policies, Israel’s status as a self-defined “Jewish state” is invoked, and the criticism is again labeled antisemitic.
