Why is the Tangerine Tyrant failing to win the hearts & minds of Iranians even as the attacks are intended (?) to topple Iran's (unpopular) regime.

Could it be these sort of statements from Secretary of War, Pete Hesgeth:

'The only one's that need to be worried right now are - are Iranians who think they're gonna live'!.... or

There will be 'no quarter, no mercy for our enemies'!

Views that were reflected in the airstrike on a school on day one of the attacks!

@ChrisMayLA6 Yes, Hegseth is a very dangerous man. Coming from an allied nation, it is relatively easy to see that his words are insecure grand-standing.

And now place yourself in the Middle-East. Put those words above the picture of the destroyed girls school, together with some of his Christian-nationalist tattoos or words. It would be an infuriating insult.

I hope the people are wiser in the Middle-East, that's for me the paradox of this situation. The new ayatollah has not spoken yet.
