    I can get 2kW solar for 400€?!? Some seller even have 500w panels for 80€

    Holy shit they become cheap.

    I wonder if I can do import-only setup on the roof of my residential building. As far I understand if you are not selling to the grid, you don’t have to get permission at all here?!

    Worst case it’s going to be balcony with about 6 hours of direct sunlight in the summer, but in summer that’s exact time when I need AC the most. And incidentally it’s rated for 2.5kW

    And 2kWh power station cost 600€, on par with good UPS. I can charge it at night, when electricity is 50% cheaper and use until sun starts to shine on this side

    On my bloody balcony. Given the price about 0.1€/kWh (first 250) during the day, panels need to generate 4000 kWh which is say 3000 sunny hours at full power with all the losses. Even with pessimistic 90 days of 6 hour sunlight it’s less than 5 years. Next 20 is just free energy!?
