    I often wonder who's been worse for the UK overall, Thatcher or the parade of self serving kleptocrats of more recent years. Farage and Johnson caused untold damage between them, and Farage may yet cause much more, but, honestly, they're just natural byproducts of Thatcher's project. She was the root cause, and all these sneering clowns who followed her are just minor characters in her play. She may be dead but the wounds she left us still bleed.

    Let's make today the day when we grab a stake and check on her grave, just to be sure.

      @bodil Thatcher might be dead, but her malign influence is not

        @bodil My Dad, who is definitely not a fan, said he respected Thatcher because she stood for what she believed in. Most of the rest since have stood for whatever the Sun and the Mail have on their front page (and more recently, whatever people complain about on Facebook or Twitter)

            @bodil I've learned so much revised *real* history from you lot, directly, than I ever learned from MSM. We just knew she was a leader. We did not know how hated she was.

            @kimlockhartga @bodil

            We utterly detested her. The first female PM this country got and it had to be a nasty one.

                @grb090423 @kimlockhartga The first, and the second, and, uh, I still don't know what to make of Liz Truss.

                    Celebrating a person losing power is fine.
                    Celebrating a person is dead is ๐Ÿคฎ and stupid.

                      @viraptor @ainmosni @bodil Nope, start with #Goldwater, the one who wanted to succeed #Eisenhower who was the last decent Republican ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ president. And continue with #Nixon.
