GitHub forced a password reset on me the other day, apparently because of a suspicious login. My account is secured with 2 factor auth. Did someone steal my phone and get into my authenticator app? No. Thought so. Fine, I'll reset my password. I try to reauthorise git after resetting my password and see this: This account is flagged, and therefore cannot authorize a third party application. Try to visit my profile in an incognito/private browser tab and it'll give you a nice little page not found error. I've submitted my account for review and reinstatement, and if they don't fucking reinstate it, I'll be super fucking pissed! Do you know how much fucking time I've put into that account? Oh but AI is the future and AI will automate everything because AI is the future and AI will get in your way and interfere with everything you do because AI is the future. AI is the future! Oh, I forgot to mention that AI is the future!
As of 5:01 PM today, I have still not heard from GitHub support, my account is still invisible to anyone other than me, and my Pages sites are still inactive. I just want this shit to be done with already.
