One related wargame that still done in core banking is “At what point in nuclear war would we lose the ability to move money? Then at what point do we lose the ability to keep records of money?”.
The goal is generally to make sure that point stays beyond the relevancy of the country and currency in general.

Banking is continually absurd because one has to be able to hold in their head the idea that this system can survive nuclear war AND that an undiscovered junior engineer from outside the industry can close a large percentage of bank branches in the country with a bad config push (see: the software monoculture where US banks and airlines ended up with the same endpoint monitoring system).

@sin @scarlet@chaos.social I personally don't have bombings in particular in my threat model, but I do consider that every place can be subject to destruction or hostile takeovers. Be it war, fires, flooding, 1312, you name it. Shit can happen and especially datacentres can be strategic targets. -
