The world is now so full of ridiculous things that at least I struggle to deal with it all. But this is not an 'us' problem. The (political) world really is idiotic. I needed to vent a bit, so I made a list of things that are impossible to believe, yet are very much what is happening. Perhaps seeing it in writing will help you deal better with the situation. https://berthub.eu/articles/posts/the-impossible-things-we-have-to-believe/

@bert_hubert @marleenstikker I bet you’ll have no problem thinking of 6 others. Pfas eggs, poisonous bouquets, cancerous herbicides, steel slags, toxic fruits, heavily polluted ditches, overuse of fertilizers. Rationally, this cannot go on, yet it still gets worse every year

@bert_hubert The word 'simulacrum' is popular of late.

The word indicates a false reality to cover for the fact that behind it there is no reality.

Take the manosphere: it is not about being a man and somehow manliness is espoused continously. Take government IT: the paper reality looks great.

@bert_hubert my doctor asked me if I suffer from anxiety. I think I do have anxiety now, but it was never a 'ME' problem.

@bert_hubert what are the consequences if politics breaks the law?
Nothing can be enforced. Perfect. Free reign to whoever is elected.
You can do whatever you want.

That needs to change, but politics won't vote laws in which will jeopardize their power.
