      the alternative explanation is that the BM was surprised by the backlash and pretended they didn't know anything about this, and if they did, they were always against it

        @charlesdelavalleepoussin Yes, that is also very possible. All we have is just a reference to an email from the director, Nick Cullinan. It's important that the Museum issues a public statement on the matter. Until then doubt will continue to grow.
