The price of oil has risen another $19 today driving the price to more than $109 per barrel.
No pun intended, but the only trickle down effect that will come from the sharp rise of oil will be the cost of food, goods and services.

@Quasit @HamonWry There are too many parties with a variety of interests, any one party such as a the US, controls so little of the supply chain to be able to really control it. It is way easier to destroy, make the price of oil to up, than to provide redundancy, sure up supply chains. If he is going to make oil prices go up he could at least invest in renewables in the US and ditch the stupid giant pick up trucks tax breaks, but his donors and Putin wouldn't like that.
