    This morning's fun is attempting to install FreeDOS onto my ancient Toshiba Tecra 530CDT. It has (for the time - 1997) a massive 164Mb RAM and a 6Gb disk, so it should work nicely ... #RetroComputing

        Amazingly all the hardware seems functional - it's probably not been booted in more than a decade. CD drive is whirring away happily and even the floppy drive seems OK.

          @gmc It's a pentium mmx. It was a computer that I bought for work at CA. You had to pay upfront for it (around £4500 iirc) but they then paid you back over 12 months and when / if you left the company the computer was yours to keep. It had to be as high a spec as possible as I used it for demonstrating Ingres, Jasmine (an OODB) and Opal (a legacy screenscraper and application modernisation tool).
