    hmm

I'm pretty sure I can hear when I turn a page on my e-reader. Like when the display refreshes or something

however, it is extremely quiet, quieter than most electrical hums around me

... why is my hearing like this

@MiaWinter have you looked at how e-reader displays work? its very interesting, solid particles suspended in a liquid so makes sense theyre audible

@MiaWinter I can't hear the noise since my high frequency hearing has declined over the years, but if I had to guess, I would suspect coil whine from the boost converter.

I believe e-paper displays use a "high" voltage pulse to do a full refresh.
