These uses raise questions around privacy and data protection. How are residents’ data protected and managed when being processed and stored by a black box algorithm? Are there data-sharing risks when it comes to tuning? And is this the most responsible use of taxpayer money?

This ‘govAI’ trend is still in an early stage, and it could range from AI chatbots on council websites to AI productivity tools for drafting emails or sorting consultation responses.

From the EU’s InvestAI to the UK’s numerous memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with Anthropic and OpenAI to the US’ million-dollar contracts with major AI companies, we’re seeing a growing interest from governments in AI development and adoption particularly for public services.

@privacyint I respect where you are coming from here, but big oil is far different then Generative AI / LLMs. Oil -- the petrodollar -- is destroying our world. Knowledge, online knowledge, is a vastly different thing. It is serving us directly in a way that oil, coal, and gas -- and certainly tobacco -- is ABSOLUTELY NOT. We need clean energy. We need to annihilate the petrodollar with electric... and knowledge. Understand what you are advocating for here. Call me if you to know more. I'm available to you .. and my own children .. 24/7.
