Last night's results. This is a faint emission nebula that's a challenging target to image. I'll need some more imaging time on this one.
The Elephant's Trunk Nebula (IC 1396A) is a concentration of gas and dust within a larger gas region about 2,400 light years away from Earth.
Imaging: 172 x 180-second images (8.5 hrs total ingestion)
Scope: Skywatcher 72ED Pro
Camera: ASI585MC Pro
Control: AsiAir mini
Stack/Process: Siril & GIMP
Location: Beverley, UK
