FreeBSD PKGBASE Minor Upgrades
The PKGBASE way of things on FreeBSD is still not fully mature (and officially marked as experimental). I tried to cover all PKGBASE things in the Brave New PKGBASE World article but I need to add one another thing. One of the things freebsd-update(8) did was upgrades between minor releases - like from 15.0 toโฆ

@vermaden Worked for me. One additional step I did after the successful boot: activate the โNEW" boot environment, rename the former default to โ15.0-RELEASE-p8โ, and rename โNEW" to โdefaultโ. I think if you don't activate the BE you'll boot into the old one on the next reboot.

@markmcb also, please note the clarification (from Colin Percival) and other comments under <https://www.reddit.com/r/freebsd/comments/1t8rt8o/freebsd_pkgbase_minor_upgrades/>. In particular:
"You forgot the FreeBSD-ports-kmods repo."

Added UPDATE 1 with information how to do upgrade FreeBSD with PKGBASE w/o modifying the config files.
