Also, admittedly, my enjoyment was tempered by the knowledge that the second lead was credibly accused of sexual assault.

Glad that I dropped this one. I can tolerate some sloppiness in the historicals when the follow an interesting true story, but not when they start to feel terribly silly. -

There are some thought-provoking aspects, but as with any disguises, you're always like, really, you can't tell? And the story is also so close to Hong Gildong, it's head scratching that it never comes up.
