Saddened to hear of the death of actor and writer Nicholas Brendon, the only member of the cast of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” that I met in person. At a (not the) Comic Con. In the queue for his autograph ahead of me were two young ladies who were clearly XANDER fans. Mr Brendon offered hugs for both, and his partner behind the table smiled at me and said she wanted him to charge for hugs. Since Mr Brendon was already standing in front of the table, he grinned and asked if I wanted a hug. I like hugs, so I accepted cheerily, and then signed a DVD for me.
