Ok, I have officially replaced all of our mercury switch thermostats with fancy new ones. Gonna have to call a few places to figure out where to drop these off.

Up next is purging the 4 boiler zones. Gonna wait for one of the random "nice" days. Have to get a new bucket anyway, so it works out.

@voltur Most places I’ve lived, the dump is usually your best bet for something local. They’ll generally have a few times a year where you can drop off hazardous materials like mercury and they’ll dispose of it appropriately. If you go into an office ever, your IT department might be able to help as well. Some PCB recycling companies seem to also be willing to take mercury and process it appropriately so they can send it out with their electronic waste.
