I shared them fully
and freely
they meant the world to me

I hold no grudges
set no conditions
I don’t pull any strings

I have my own endless supply
Of sweet music
radiating from me

I don’t need to take yours from you
or bring mine back to me

this is who I am
and who I always will be

I am not the conductor
I am the violin

I am not a lover
I am the love within
