NEW | Three Israeli-American brothers convicted in US sex trafficking case
A federal jury in Manhattan found Oren, Tal, and Alon Alexander guilty of running a years-long sex trafficking operation targeting women and girls, some of whom were drugged before being raped or sexually assaulted.
The three brothers, prominent figures in real estate and private security, were described by prosecutors as predators using wealth and social status to lure and abuse victims. Eleven women testified about the systematic sexual abuse they endured.
Manhattan US Attorney Jay Clayton said the verdict sends a clear message that sex trafficking will not be tolerated, though it cannot undo the suffering of the victims.
