(4) i just use the file manager for sftp. one weird thing if you are using kde the location will start with 'fish' eg fish://user@server.local/path

(6) libreoffice draw (but i use inkscape)
(7) give calligra words a run - ymmv working with word documents though, libreoffice is much more robust. -
