    A new episode of Downstream is live!

    Jeopardy experiments more with streaming (and Jason lost), we reminisce about Netflix history, Paramount+ hugs Pluto, "The Pitt" should brace for franchising, and the sad fate of "Star Trek." And a big announcement!

      @jsnell I work for a big ol’ streamer – Downstream and The Town were my two regular “industry” podcasts (because I don’t actually watch much TV or many movies). You will be missed.

        Also this is the penultimate episode of Downstream. Moving on to some other projects. It's been a fun ride talking TV with some brilliant people.

        @jsnell your shows are always brilliant, this one was no exception. Spot on analysis. Speaking of brilliant shows, really missing Liftoff. With the success of Artemis II, are you thinking of returning to the space news area? Could really use your critical eye rn

          @jsnell

          Downstream is one of the very few non-Apple podcasts in my "must-listen" rotation. Even as a UK listener tuning into discussions that didn't always touch on my side of the pond, I found the insights from you and your guests consistently interesting.

          Does anyone have recommendations for a similar TV-focused podcast?

          Thanks, Jason, and best of luck with whatever comes next!

            @msw117r22 thank you! No I am not planning on going back to space stuff, this change is all about getting out of extra beats that I can't devote enough time to.

                @jsnell damn, as someone who works in the streaming industry, I relied heavily on this show for the latest scoops. I was hoping at some point you would have just made Joe Adalian the permanent co-host as you both are great together.

                @mbwelch thanks, I love Joe and if I could've made it work with him and me every other week I would've kept doing it, but it didn't really make sense for my time

                  @jsnell understandable. You do seem to have a rather full plate at all times, plus now perhaps writing is calling! Onward

                      @jsnell Jason, congrats on a great run for Downstream. You handled the changes you were confronted with very nicely, and I will sorely miss Sports Corner!
