Challenge 9 is 400 points.
You know it's gonna be fun when the silkscreen challenge marker is just an empty box.
Because the diffpair you need to swap polarity on is on a buried layer.

@Lunaphied that's not even the hardest challenge lol. It's 400 of a possible 500 points.
Basic idea is find a spot with nothing on an outer layer blocking access (or accept that you'll have to patch stuff up on the way out, but that's more of a 500 point challenge) then mill down to the internal layer, cut the tracks, do a little diagonal switcheroo, add some epoxy to protect and insulate

@azonenberg o.o I just read about the burried via one

@Lunaphied it's very doable with the right tools I had this on reworkctf v1 and did it without much trouble. I've also fixed similar but not identical defects on real boards (ethernet center tap and diffpair leg swapped on L3 of a 10L design)

@Lunaphied I haven't built that challenge yet but it's based on a real bodge i had to do
About halfway down https://serd.es/2025/09/14/Trigger-crossbar.html

@Lunaphied except this is an 0.8mm pitch bga not a 1mm so slightly more cramped quarters, but 4L rather than 10L so less stuff to worry about bumping into
