    @welshpixie They have 2 funding rounds a year and I think one just started.

    They do have a flexi fund though that can consider awards that have a deadline that makes waiting for a round difficult.

      @glenatron I know the guy applied for one welsh language grant and they came back saying they loved the application but didn't qualify because they're only funding new projects 😕

      @welshpixie @glenatron
      “Only funding new projects” is the curse of the charity sector. You set up something exciting which gets lots of local involvement, then you pull the rug from under it, leaving the community feeling even more disillusioned and abandoned than ever.
      Funders, step up: if something is worth starting, it’s worth ongoing support.

        @DrJLecter about 20 years ago I used to work in a community program that would apply for grants from them 😄

            @DrJLecter aye, I think they're looking into it - they know about the big main avenues but I think they'll need to find some more niche funds or get creative with the applications

                - will have to close permanently by September if they can't find funding.

                They're setting yp up a GoFundMe, but does anyone have any leads on funding sources or avenues they might pursue? I've brought up contacting the Green party and joining the Co-Op's local community fund.

                Areas they cover include arts and crafts, the Welsh language, permaculture and renewables, mental and physical health support, accessibility, access to food, repair cafes.

                Please boost!

                @welshpixie National Lottery or community shares are their best bets.

                  @welshpixie this is where the loss of ERDF is a kicker … you might want to investigate any NCB derived sources, such as the Coalfields Regeneration Trust, they have community led projects in ex-coalfield areas as a primary focus for funding … see https://www.coalfields-regen.org.uk/latest-updates/crt-support-grants-available-wales for instance. That site also allows you to lookup local recipients that might help offer insight into the grant/process, maybe allowing you to reach out to them in turn for help.
