This reverse of decision was mainly thanks to all the activism of privacy experts, enthusiasts, IT professionals, worried citizens, etc. The ministry heard enough noise about it and decided to reverse the decision which originally was made based on financial benefit (savings).

        In this particular matter, the savings would have compromised the integrity of our voting system.
