@JessTheUnstill this argument doesn't do anything because there are so so many people that "support trans people in principle" but don't support their medical transition and also don't support gender affirming measures for cis people. their bigotry is naturalism, they don't even distinguish between trans people and cis people (which maybe they should, considering more often than not it is life saving for one of these groups and cosmetic for the other). -

@sophteis @JessTheUnstill There's a theory that's gone around the Fedi that a lot but not all of gender dysphoria is actually cPTSD from gender trauma. I'm convinced that cis people get the other components of gender dysphoria but not the cPTSD symptoms because they usually don't have gender related trauma.

interesting theory. i definitely think it's borderline impossible to be trans in this world and not develop cptsd in some form. -
