Obsidian uses local files, so all your standard terminal commands work for editing/moving/searching/etc

what #Obsidian CLI adds is everything else:

    - interacting with the UI
    - Obsidian's internal functions, e.g. base queries
    - deterministic results like the "orphans" command
    - easily create a personal plugin now that your agent can access devtools, console, screenshots, eval, etc

    See the CLI docs!

@kepano I love this! What's the likelihood of having a version of the CLI that runs without the app? This could be great for headless servers, custom frontends, maybe even web-hosted Obsidian instances!

@kepano Will this support running Obsidian CLI on a fully headless machine?

@kepano from the docs is not clear to me if it supports resolving references. Eg: given a vault, a path, and a text, to does it resolve to a file in the vault as it will do [[text]]? In the lack of absolute links obsidian does some good heuristics and some tools would benefit from that exposed IMO.

@kepano @obsidian that is interesting. I am still not sure if I would grant say Claude code access to my main vault but moving content over and doing stuff in a less „valuable“ environment with better tools available to the agent sounds promising.
