            @SnowyCA I heard a rumour of a horrible ending.

            Our minister of education, and premier ‘hopeful’, plans to use the notwithstanding clause to enable discrimination on this. He would have said that to a radio station.

            Level of surprise: -100000. I shouldn’t pay taxes to this province, not an iota!

              I feel the same about taxes in this province, maybe we should direct our funds Manitoba way

                @SnowyCA Since this morning, I’m think of moving to Vancouver/BC, instead of Ottawa/Ontario. Nothing specific pushed me towards that direction, except for just… me changing.

                This said, the MoE has no legitimacy on that. He’s not elected on that platform and they’re very unlikely to get reelected.

                  I suppose you know Vancouver is the most expensive place to live in Canada.

                  That said, over decades and on a daily basis, I miss my home province in particular the west coast area.

                  ".. except for just… me changing."
                  Changing oneself is usually a positive, it means we are learning and growing. You're young, do it before you age too much, are tied down, and are trapped in a place that you feel simply doesn't quite "fit".

                    @SnowyCA I know Metro Vancouver (and the BC coast) is crazy expensive.

                    Unfortunately, my finances currently don’t allow me to leave Québec 😢
                    Even Ottawa is too expensive for me to find a place to live. Also, a chicken and egg problem, because I would have to sell to buy a home, but can’t sell unless I already have somewhere to live.

                    My biggest anchor to Central Canada are my friends.

                      Not everywhere in BC is expensive, do you have to live in the largest city?

                      If you move you can video call friends and make new ones.

                        @SnowyCA The nature of my profession pushes positions to be available only in national headquarters 😢

                        And video calls are not the same, unfortunately. I really love spending time with them, doing activities 🙂

                            @SnowyCA It’s okay. I knew that back in 2007 when I started down this path.

                            If I knew back then what I know today, I would have studied something completely different… not sure what though.
