      @admin

      Justin Amash is a bullshit "libertarian" Republican scumbag, he should STFU and let people who didn't spend their entire lives trying to hurt the oppressed talk.

          So, I've given this a few days so I could determine why I was going to knee-jerk condemn your comment... I didn't, but my initial impulse was to attack your comment with extreme prejudice.

          I'm glad I waited, because I was able to boil down my objection to one, single, pointed question, which is this:

          Does any of what you mentioned about Amash (which may or may not be correct, but is definitely non-sequitur to the post) make the point made in the original post incorrect?

            Yes, the idea that both parties routinely ignore the constitution and operate with the same ambivalence to the rule of law is an absolute pharce, just like libertarianism and Justin Amash.

              Are you able to clarify your position?

                An anti choice libertarian. Voted for the keystone pipeline which required eminent domain. Voted against the violence against woman act because that's states rights? This guy is a nut job. As for the differences between the two parties constitutional behavior, I don't specialize in insanity.

                  Well, I can agree with your last sentence without any reservation... neither the Asses nor the Elephants give a real shit about the Constitution or their voters.

                  As for the keystone pipeline issue, that's a bit more nuanced than most people think.. Do I believe the US Gov't has the right to take land from Native Americans just because it can? No, but there's much more to the story than eminent domain....

                  Amash does have faults, certainly.. but the statement that he made regarding Republicans and Democrats is, from what I've been able to gather over the last more-than-five-decades, absolutely correct, and the fact that a "nutjob" said it has no bearing on its accuracy.
