      "Why #Nutella?"

Because paste consistency food is great in weightlessness

Peanut butter is also loved by astronauts

Soft tortillas too: no crumbs floating around

And all these foods don't need refrigeration

Finally, you need calorie dense foods since storage is at a premium

Eat like an astronaut and have a Nutella tortilla

@benroyce Today I learned about the floating 💩 problems in the #Apollo10.

(OK, I know it's not exactly the same as #Nutella, but hey.)

ERROR: The request could not be satisfied

@benroyce A friend of mine was sailing to the Marquesas from San Diego. Got pulled over by the Mexican Coast Guard. They searched the boat and opened cabinet after cabinet filled with tortillas. Great to have on board for a 30 day passage for all the same reasons they work in space.

packing for a trip, deciding on what to bring or not is always a thing. and then you come home and wonder why you packed half the crap you bought with you

@benroyce If I'm correct, back then they carried personal poo bags with them and apparently the seals on these bags weren't exactly of Tupperware quality. 🙈

@benroyce Amused that some of the most expensive meals in history (according to cost of mass lifted higher in gravity well, naturally) are poor-people staples. PB+J burritos are well known round this household.

Because paste consistency food is great in weightlessness

Peanut butter is also loved by astronauts

Soft tortillas too: no crumbs floating around

And all these foods don't need refrigeration

Finally, you need calorie dense foods since storage is at a premium

Eat like an astronaut and have a Nutella tortilla

                                        @benroyce

Bad diet for shitting though. Our gut works best with bulky low energy density food. Peristalsis requires something to work on! Also your gut needs walking around and general motion to work right. I bet lots of digestive problems up there.

@benroyce Could probably manage a sticky sort of chili, stew, gumbo, or chowder. So long as it is gluelike in its propensity to not spawn little liquid droplets.
