    Note: This is a 30% off sale and sometimes they do 50% off sales so maybe you're better off waiting for that or maybe there will be no 50% off sales until black friday I have literally no idea? https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:4jtya4doubazmmupujznvptt/post/3meysm46jik2e

    @mcc The Criterion subreddit posted a guide that's continuously updated on when's the next 50% off sale.

    Expect the next flash sale in mid-March:

      FYI Criterion is doing a sale on blurays and 4K discs for the next week

      Only some of the movies have 4K options:

      Just a moment...

      (www.criterion.com)

      And the prices only go down from "sticker shock" to "huh well, maybe" but they did go down. And Blurays are cheaper

      Things that stood out to me:

      Yi Yi

      Point Blank (Parker novel in a blender)

      Anora ("Sean Baker makes a Safdie film")

      @mcc I’m not sure if the prices end up in a similar spot after shipping, but for a Canadian distributor who also participates in the sale, check out unobstructedview.com

        @mcc Also note that for Canadians there is a Canadian distributor that usually follows along the same sale schedule/titles https://unobstructedview.com/

            @mcc Thanks for the tip!

            I’m not sure the *Seven Samurai* original print had 4K worth of information, but it’d be good to get a copy before the coming AI-powered dark age.

                @mcc Yes and the fact that going back to list starts the paging over again
