                @hacks4pancakes My first (and only) "proper" digital oscilloscope is a Rigol DS1054Z, based on the review of the Australian EEVBlog guy, so in my head it's canonically "D-S Ten Fifty Four Zed".

                                      As a child, the only time I ever heard someone say Zee when they meant Zed was Sesame Street. This built a strong subconscious bias that anyone who said Zee was probably a muppet.

                                        @ghostinthenet @hacks4pancakes had a way too long conversation with someone from Boston about a drive I'd mapped. Couldn't understand her confusion until I realized that she hadn't understood that the word I was saying to describe the drive, was simply the last letter of the alphabet. I swear the American's changed it just to make the song rhyme.
