    Well, finally read Scalzi's Redshirts. The more I think about it, the better it gets. A Hugo deserved.

        @farah @tychotithonus I read that for book club a long time ago and decided to re-read it this past November. Really great, and I'd forgotten most of the latter stuff in it.

        I also recently re-watched a large chink of #DS9 and noticed that the Sisko-as-writer in the 1950s is basically Red Shirts, just not taken to the same conclusion. Because presumably Sisko the Commander is the real version and Sisko the writer is fiction. But who knows?!
