@wwahammy I wonder what @linuxmint is going to do.

Suddenly LMDE may become much more popular.

@wwahammy Oh, for fuck's sake. I'm going to have to change the distro on my main machine, and I don't think I set up partitions when I installed it.

@wwahammy Are you really all that surprised? Canonical/Ubuntu has been a fallen star for years now.

@wwahammy I stick with #Ubuntu mainly to ensure best chance of drivers for whatever hardware I chose but by now I imagine Debian will be good enough.

Which distro I'm not sure. I've got to quite like tweaked #Gnome so may stick with that. Anything else handle multiple desktops as nicely? That will swing it, it's such a nice way to work.

In a year or so I'll start testing and then finally switch away from #Canonical. Just when I was thinking it was time to support them financially.

@markhughes @wwahammy If extended hardware support is something your worried about you may want to look at debian-backports which has newer linux-kernels for debian-stable.

OR MX Linux, which is based on debian stable, but ships their own "Advanced Hardware Support" plus a few extra neat tools.
