@madargon excellent! I was seeing a spiky ghost or something, but axolotl is better!
@dillyd now I feel I should draw this...

I'm an early riser even in my own time zone, and my family are normal people who sleep to a normal time. So hi! I'm awake all alone here. Here come some more photos from yesterday. Starting with this sea foam screaming into the void.

good morning!

We were eating lunch in a restaurant and my mom saw this tree stump out the window, and asked me to go take photos of the stuff growing on it. She's into cool stuff like that. I've told her she should join mastodon.

My family who live in the Pacific Northwest think I'm kind of weird for taking so many photos of moss. It blends into the background for them. But I can never get enough of it.

How many people living in Rome stop to take a photo of the Colosseo?

@a_phlaming_phoenix lol me too! I have a tshirt to wear when I'm hiking with other people, that says, "you guys go on ahead. I'm gonna dilly dally."

@wmd out here, you could blindfold somebody and spin them around, tell them to walk straight ahead, and they would find moss within a few steps.

@riversidebryan I'm so glad. I feel like it's just inherently more social than pixelfed. I know you got tired of the reply guys before. Here's hoping they leave you alone.

@dillyd Funny story: While taking my daughter to visit colleges, we were eating lunch at a little neighborhood restaurant that had a window with a view of the *actual Tinker Creek*, which was surging with rainwater at the time.
We asked the waitress if she had heard of Annie Dillard. She had not.
