@lazarus @OpenSoul @doctormo And also 1970 won't get flagged for being too old. Sites already filter out "+" in email forms...

If any computer ever asks you what your birthday is, this is your birthday.

Sometimes the computer will send you presents. A free ice cream, a discount, a funny email wishing you a happy birthday. These are tricks to get you to put in your human birthday. But you must never enter your human birthday into a computer, only your computer birthday.

@doctormo unfortunately, I’m running into things that are saying I’m too old and 1900 isn’t a valid date, and honestly i don’t know what to do, since my birthdate could be anything now.

I guess I use to be 1970, but that feels a bit too honest

@doctormo I use the wheel of fortune year. Give the mousewheel a good spin and use wherever it stops.

@doctormo I used a not-my-birthday on Facebook way back when I was on Facebook. I spend that day replying to people, thanking them, and reminding them that you can't believe what you see on the internet, and that you don't owe Facebook any sort of honesty.

@doctormo When signing up for restaurant apps, I always use next month as my birthday month, so that I'm likely to get a free meal/desert/whatever sooner... 🙂

@doctormo@floss.social Lets all enter the computers birthday.
No, not the birthday of the build. No, not of one specific component. Lets just use the discovery year of silicon, since all components use it... so about 1823. Select a day and month you like, f.E. 9th of June (or 6/9/1823) or 20th of April (or 4/20/1823).

                            This whole thing is stupid…

What is this the 90s again?

                            A birthday slider does nothing.
Anyone with half a brain cell will just lie.
And people have already shown that any drift towards ID/biometrics will be met with violent force.

I mean the dinosaurs pushing this know that a free and open internet is the last distraction keeping them from getting lynched right?

@doctormo I've always used 2000. It's fine nowadays, but I did inadvertently lock myself out of a site once because I "wasn't old enough" yet. 😑
