We are two rainy, windswept islands. Wind and rain are not problems here - they are resources.

Energy independence is not a distant aspiration. It is sitting above our heads every single day, going to waste.

While people in the Middle East pay with their lives for the world’s addiction to fossil fuels.

Fossil fuels make us poorer. They keep us dependent on unstable regimes and the companies that supply them.

The green transition is not a cost. It is the cure.

“Renewable energy is the cheapest in history. Heat pumps, solar, and retrofits create thousands of local jobs that can’t be outsourced, lower bills permanently, and end our exposure to foreign price shocks.” - Cllr Áine Groogan

The Climate Change Act is the legal framework to deliver this. Green Party NI will defend it fully and push for community-owned renewables - profits here, not in corporate boardrooms.
