As of Friday April 17, these had been the official communications from Bluesky PBC regarding the April 15 outage attributed to a DDoS attack. Today (above) they said without providing any further information, and dropping the DDoS attack claim, that there will be no further updates.

We don't know. One would hope that tech media will ask them.
It also now seems incumbent on tech media to ask them for more information on the outage as detailed above.
