Remember, block liberally, alt-text your photos, and there's no algorithm (besides "reverse-chronogical"), so you gotta chase your own engagement. Let it grow slowly, post regularly, your network will grow nice.

@claralistensprechen3rd @spencexyz I've seen other people on here who have rolled their own persona versions of Strava, but I haven't previously seen anyone doing a bike equivalent of open street maps. It'd sure be nice.

@clew right now it refers to content you put online, like photos and posts you make about your long distance bicycle adventures.
long term, I'd love to see a federated version of Strava. every year they cut down their api access further and further. but it's our data and we should be able to share with any external apps we want.
I'm trying to figure out how I can use the tools I'm building to expose more cyclists to the fediverse and help fuel that demand.
