Trump proposed the board in September 2025 when he announced *his* plan to end the #Gaza war.
He later made clear its remit would be expanded beyond Gaza to other global conflicts.
Trump will be the chairman & purportedly it will be tasked with promoting peace around the world & resolving conflicts.
According to its charter it will undertake "peace-building functions in accordance with #InternationalLaw" — we’ll see.

@Nonilex Israel continues to murder Palestinians in Gaza - at least 600 since the ‘peace deal’ was signed a few months ago. Israel has also taken possession of certain lands and given them to settlers. Settlers continue to put families out of their homes, destroy property and take the location over. I don’t think Palestinians have killed any Israelis since the ‘peace deal’. It’s a disgusting genocide, war crime and travesty.
