@jwildeboer A year or two ago, I decided to embrace that I'm apparently radical left now with scandalous thoughts such as "maybe things shouldn't suck as much for most people". I can live with that.

@jwildeboer It's not even that many folks moving to the far-right. It's algorithms on major social media, layers upon layers of AI bots, and a relatively small number of people with more money than the rest of us combined.

@jwildeboer I haven't changed my views in the last 40 Years. Nowadays i'm called a radical brainwashed lefty, trying to supress other opinions.
Still i want a decent life for everybody, regard for truth and the law, and a high tax for super-rich people.

@GerhardD @jwildeboer I was centre-left 20 years ago. I am definitely viewed as far left in most online communities where I care to comment about politics, and I certainly haven't really needed to change my views for that to happen either.

@GerhardD @jwildeboer I, however, have always argued for dismantling the capitalist system, seizing the means of production, redistributing the wealth, and sending all the rich people straight to hell.

@NicelyManifest @jwildeboer in Spanish I've seen a saying that translates to "the right oppresses, the left liberates" as a way to remember how to turn a screw
