It's my third go through, but first time in a very long time.

@babe @middleclasstool I will need to that again soon. Too long away from the Truth these books hold.

I really like small gods. And Vimaire (sorry French name... Vimes) come back in time in Night Watch has a special place in my heart. The smell of lilacs, the mentor /student relationship, the young Vetinari...

And Going Postal. Because it's such a good depiction of our world, the Commons vs private parasites, manipulation of informations, golem ethics, the tech nerds that of course speak to me in a special fashion... And well, the hope, making things happen. And redemption.

Ok, but I can't forget the witches, because I was raised in mountain like theirs, full of old people with the will of Esme.
And the colors of magic in the discworld...

Ok that's not even almost a choice.

@fanf42 @middleclasstool Vimes is definitely a character I have a lot of love for.

The witches are hitting different this time for me.

About 6 years ago I got back in proper contact with my nan and we got really close. I hadn't really known her well at all before that.
She was damn near spot on for Granny Weatherwax.

@fanf42 It's very good, if a bit emotionally taxing. She passed away last year and it's reminding me of her a lot in positive ways.

She was a very forthright and caring woman in precisely the same way as Esme Weatherwax, it's uncanny

He wrote incredible characters. It seems I'd forgotten a great deal of the stories beyond the broadest of terms, and especially details. It's definitely been nice to get back into it

@fanf42 Boundless compassion beneath a lacquer-thin veneer of stone.

He wrote incredible characters. It seems I'd forgotten a great deal of the stories beyond the broadest of terms, and especially details. It's definitely been nice to get back into it

It confirms I was far from them for too long.

Thank you for reminding it too me.
