Loving my new laptop.

Loving my new laptop. Not because it's especially expensive or swish - though it seems futuristic compared to my old one - but because I can finally work on personal projects on lunchbreaks and odd moments of downtime when nobody needs anything from me.
I pulled my last gamedev project and was saddened that my last commit to it was in 2024. I can't believe I did no gamedev for an entire year!

I wasn't entirely idle in 2025. I took guitar lessons and spent a lot of time on that, but I hate having so many uncompleted projects.

I occasionally fantasize that when you die you are placed in a kind of purgatory where you must finish all your abandoned projects before you are allowed to move on to the afterlife. Those unfinished games on your hard drive? Get 'em released! The novel you started in your twenties then give up on after three chapters? See it through to conclusion! The lego house that you were building then broke up when your mum called you for dinner? What are you waiting for - get that roof on!

I only have, like, half a dozen thoughts and a couple of jokes. Gimme a break!

@mcchessers I'd never get to heaven, but I'd have a lovely time not getting there

@mcchessers you mean I can finally finish reading the stack of unread books? Sounds perfect
