In view of this, we are announcing a ceasefire, effective from 00:00 on the night of 5 to 6 May. It is realistic to ensure that a ceasefire is in place by that time. We will respond in kind from that moment onwards.

The time has come for russian leaders to take concrete steps to end their war, given that the russian Ministry of Defence believes it cannot hold a parade in moscow without Ukraine’s goodwill."
