          @gsuberland nice. I was hoping it'd be easy enough to figure out!

          although I could have always gone with md5 if I wanted to be sure

            @scy @foone that would've been my route had it not been that I already had the lookup command in my history for unrelated reasons

                      @tachi @scy @foone if you're using hashcat that means you need to prefix the hash with the correct format for the hash type you specified in the command line args

                            @foone
                            From now on I will use this handy rhyme

                            'If it uses valid hex,
                            Then it isn't flirty text,
                            If it has P, L, U, R or T,
                            Then it won't work as a key'

                            There are going to be exceptions, but aren't there always...

                              @0 weird. It's simply impossible that there's two separate chats that feature both a Goddess and a kitten, right?

                                      @Byte @foone if you wanna spoil yourself a bit, save the effort, you could also just search the internet for the hash. tons of tables have online indices so they show up in DDG results. but that's a bit less fun 😛

                                        made the fans spin and gave me the output.

                                          @gsuberland @foone i figured it out

                                          hashcat -m 17400 -a 3 $HASH

                                          made the fans spin and gave me the output.
