@mem_somerville Our national broadcaster published a piece this morning about rural people and how they can't not drive everywhere. I felt compelled to use their feedback page to point out that all but one of the towns they went to write this report had DC fast chargers in them already. And, of course, a farmer isn't going to have a lack of space for parking their vehicles to charge at home anyway.

On the other hand the current New Zealand government has spent the entire last 2.5 years working tirelessly to exacerbate this crisis so there's plenty of blame to go around.

@mem_somerville My EV pony is in the auto body shop right now. My rental is not an EV and I had to go to the gas station for the first time in three years. I almost cried…
