I mostly know of Canadian sources, and your bio says USA.
@Texan_Reverend just posted this box of 440 water-resistant respirators for $50
https://zeroes.ca/@Texan_Reverend@kind.social/116079490576870117 and has dozens of links to other models under "US Respirator Sourcing" at https://texanalysis.com/@askazero anyone else have suggestions for BigHeadMode sourcing "semi-"disposable" masks for a group" in the USA?

@datum I'm personally fine with reusing 'disposable' masks but I wasn't sure where you and the rest of the covid community stands on it.

@BigHeadMode @datum Respirator reuse guidelines are also laid out in the Masking Reference Doc at https://texanalysis.com
Reuse is generally fine. Though, you need to pay attention to the total number of hours worn or have a procedure/habit in place for replacing them every couple days, because they should be changed out on a schedule even if there aren't any obvious visible issues.
Personally, I would not reuse them after wearing in higher-risk situations like medical offices or air travel.

@BigHeadMode And to go back to the model @datum brought up, the 3M Aura 1870
is great for groups, because it both fits a wide range of faces and can be easily modified to fit even more.To fit smaller faces or narrower chins, you can pleat the lower flap and staple it to make the opening smaller.
If you have folks in the group who strongly prefer earloops or who are maybe older and can't easily don headstraps, you can cut the headbands in half and tie them into earloops on each side.

@BigHeadMode @datum If you want to cover a wider range of faces without having to rely solely on modifying the Auras, I think one of the best ways to do so is to add the two sizes of 3M VFlex 9105
in addition to the Auras.
The VFlex is also among the absolute best for low breathing resistance - which can be a major pain point for some folks.Regular (which fits up to XL)

Small (which fits down to teens and some kids)

@Texan_Reverend @BigHeadMode relatedly: in my experience the failure from N95 elastic bands losing elasticity was faster than the material losing filtration ability.
Re-use is nice for feeling good about oneself but practically at 10c/ea and a year's supply weighing maybe a kg, it might be more fruitful to save one trip by car per year.

@BigHeadMode @datum Here is the research and anecdata that I have found on reusing masks:
