@david_megginson The first one, although now I went for one large ultrawide that has as much info has my previous multiscreen setup had.

@david_megginson It varies, but my desktop has a 34 inch 4k and a 24 inch FHD attached, with the larger monitor divided into sections.
My 15 inch laptop tends to split 50:50 left and right, unless it need something full screen.
Ehen I use my 14 inch chromebook, that is just a single window.
Occasionally, I will use my tablet to add an additional scree, usually on my laptop. -

When you have to use a laptop/desktop computer, which of the following two options appeals more to you?
I knew I was in a minority, but I hadn't realised it was such a small one. I sometimes feel slightly ill with a lot of screens open; I want one small screen with one app at a time maximised, and lots of soothing, empty desk space around my laptop.
I guess my desk is more like a furniture commercial or stock photo than most people's actual experience: a glowing jungle of cables and screens, all screaming for their attention at the same time.
p.s. Yes, I do software development and web-site design that way.
