If I pay you to re-ship (at least) one to the EU side of the pond, would you be interested in making that happen? ๐Ÿ™‚

@Gargron @nep @ChampersBE Sure, why not. I'm not taking any extra money for this, but it will be a costly plushie given all the shipping costs

I posted this earlier today, but realized it was not a reasonable time for US folks. So here goes: The big #plushtodon is now on sale, 20% off. Only available in the US, shipping locally. There are 87 left and we will likely never make one of this size again. I have some cool new things planned and clearing them out would be a big help. Thanks!

          Mastodon plushie 35cm - Plushtodon

Deliberately friend-sized and friend-shaped, with a soft surface material and soft, squishy stuffing, the toy is perfect as a travel companion you can rest your head on, or to fill in for you at business meetings.

          @Gargron
When the U.S. people are not interested in the big plushies, why not offer them in Europe?
Estimatedly, shipping and tariffs/taxes should not exceed $10 (remember, proboscidea suffer from flight anxiety).

I'm from Germany and highly interested in buying one, and I reckon I'm not alone.

          Feeding Bezos is no alternative.

@Mercutio Shipping one of these from the US to Germany costs $45. Where did you get the $10 number? If it was logistically viable I would offer it.

@Charlotte @Gargron sadly with most things European, including the Fairphone I'm typing from.. The only option is to pay the Bezos tax and get them from a reseller (scalper) on there.

Canada and Europe really need to fix this. Most EU distribution paths will only sell things to Canada through a US distributor.

                It's gross, honestly.

Do you have a guesstimate for shipping cost to Belgium?
I don't need the plushy overnight, as long as it gets here I'll be extremely happy ๐Ÿ˜

@ChampersBE It's going to be based on the package size and weight. I did a round of calculation on USPS site and its showing me $89 shipping price. I was leaning on larger size estimates, so it's like a max number. If the plushie comes vacuum packaged, it's going to be cheaper to send for sure. I'm getting mine in 2 days, will be able to get exact measurements and estimates then

                        Oh, $89 - that's like โ‚ฌ20 ๐Ÿคช
My little ones came slightly compressed and weigh like feathers, so here's hoping that big plushy won't be sold out by the time I'm ready to order.
Weight won't be biggest problem, size of box will.
                        1 small plushy is 20cm / 8 inch and 175g / 0.4lbs / 6.2oz.
                        The big one is 35cm / 14inch.
First-Class Package Int'l says max length, height & depth combined 36 inches so with some luck and compression (gzipped plushy?) that might work.
                        17-32oz would then be ~$40.

@ChampersBE So I got the package. With some gzipping it fits into a 15x11x6 box I have around, and weighs 2.1lb. First Class Intl package gives me $58.30 for shipping. Plus $44.88 that I pay for it delivered to me.

@Gargron what do you mean you will never make this size again? The size is AMAZING! It's the best size for hugging tightly when you're stressed out! I should know, we have one in the office!
