    @gamingonlinux
    *Make Slop.

    But... I don't want to gatekeep. Game construction kits or level editors were the entry level tools for many of us.

        I'm thinking this is so very close to closing the circle back to "here's a demo game for you to fiddle with" (gorillas.bas anyone?)

        Which achieves the same outcome at considerably lower moral and environmental cost.. /s

          @gamingonlinux 'Made without AI' really is going to be a selling point at this rate.

            @phlash @gamingonlinux
            Why the /s? I feel a sample game is documentation, and requires building reading and systems comprehension, where AI is becoming more and more of a "don't even look at the code" thing. At least it's both tinkering in some way.

            I'm still generally pro LLM, but any company over $10 Mil in funding or revenue is apparently on their Captain Planet Villain Arc nowadays, so we should better make open source step up

              @gamingonlinux There's a good argument that if you need a "Make Game" button, you are not a developer.

                @gamingonlinux How about we stop putting aside the ethical issues?

                You don't cross a picket line.

                You don't start discussions about how, ethical issues aside, hypothetically speaking, one might get some personal benefit out of crossing a picket line.

                    @pentup @gamingonlinux If someone says "This could hypothetically be useful, but there are all these ethical issues," that isn't putting the ethical issues aside. That would be "Sure there are some ethical issues, but wow look how cool!!!" which really isn't the stance of the article or site as a whole.

                        @pentup I do decide, and I decided that noting a prominent and massively used game engine adding AI features is important to know about
