    Accelerating the transition to homegrown clean energy has become urgent.

    Today, we presented a news set of initiatives to boost clean energy investment, strengthen Europe’s energy independence, and lower energy prices, including:

    🏠 Citizen’s Energy Package - reducing household bills, empowering citizens, and tackling energy poverty.

    💶 Clean Energy Investment Strategy – mobilising private investment for Europe’s clean energy transition.

    @EUCommission before SMR, cover all rooftop and parking slot with solar. Ease hydro, wind, shared batteries usage at local level and finance for real the green transition. Fuck corrupted national governments. Less talk with lobbyists and more listening to the public

      @EUCommission Yes, outstanding. Now please realize that nuclear is neither clean (toxic waste) nor independent (very problematic sources of uranium).

        @EUCommission I really appreciate the feedback and the info. Small question: you point the problematic sourcing of uranium and suggest a closed fuel cycle by upcycling nuclear waste. While this might also solve the waste problem, is this approach even remotely commercially viable?

          @AppleWoi @EUCommission

          That was a "Light Water" Reactor.
          The new ones should be Thorium Salt, if we have any sense
